4.The City Council and Mayor will present the 1986 Urban Design Awards as selected by the Salt Lake City Arts Council. The 1986 winners are: The Peery Hotel, The Herold Building, The LDS Church’s Grounds Crew, The State Capitol Grounds Crew, The Avenues Community Council, and Mr. O.C. Tanner.

D.          CONSENT:

 

1.    Interlocal Cooperation Agreement Amendment, Draper City.

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the execution of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and Draper City Fire Department amending a previously executed Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for providing fire and rescue dispatch services between Salt Lake City and Draper City.

2.    Appeal, Planning Commission Case No. 628A, Ferry Hall.

Set a date for a public hearing to be held Tuesday, January 6, 1987, at 6:45 p.m. to obtain public comment concerning an appeal by the Sugar House Community Council of a Planning Commission decision concerning Case No. 628A approving the demolition of Ferry Hall on the Westminster College Campus.

3.    Interlocal Cooperation Agreement, Housing Authority, EEO.

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the execution of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City to provide certain personnel services to the Housing Authority.

F.          UNFINISHED COUNCIL BUSINESS:

 

1.    Elderly Housing Bonds.

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing and directing the execution and delivery of the final Lease Agreement between the Salt Lake City Corporation and the Housing Development Corporation of Salt Lake City and the Sub-Lease between Salt Lake City Corporation and the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City.

2.    Memorandum of Understanding, Salt Lake Police Association.

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the execution of the Memorandum of Understanding between Salt Lake City Corporation and the Salt Lake Police Association.

3.    Section 20-14-11, Live Entertainment.

Consider adopting an ordinance repealing Section 20-14-11 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to entertainment prohibited during certain hours.

4.    Special Reserve Agreement, Housing Authority & Moore Trust Co.

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing and directing the execution and delivery of the Special Reserve Agreement between Salt Lake City and the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City, Housing Development Corporation of Salt Lake City and Moore Trust Company.

G.          PUBLIC HEARINGS:

 

1.    Avenues Community Master Plan Update. - 6:30 p.m.

Obtain public comment concerning the Avenues Community Master Plan Update; and consider adopting the resolution relating thereto.

                        Staff Recommendation:         Close hearing and adopt.

 

2.    Petition No. 400-366 (A, B, F, G) Capitol Hill Community Council. - 6:45 p.m.

Obtain public comment concerning Petition No. 400-366 (A, B, F, G) submitted by the Capitol Hill Community Council requesting the City rezone property located within the Capitol Hill Community. The Petitioner is requesting that Area A be rezoned from “M-la” to “R-5a”; Area B from “R-5a” to “R-2”; Area F from “R-5” to “R-5a”, “R-4”, and “R-2”; and Area G from “C-3” to “R-2”. The Planning Commission recommends that the “M-la” classification be maintained in Area A, Area B be rezoned from “R-5a” to “R-2”, Area F be rezoned from “R-5” to “R-5a”, and Area G retain its “C-3” classification.

3.    Petition No. 400-471, Central Business Improvement District. - 7:00 p.m.

Obtain public comment concerning a request from the Central Business Improvement District to change 300 South Street to “Broadway 300 South” between West Temple and Fifth East; and adopt ordinance relating thereto.

4.    Industrial Development Revenue Bond, Holiday Inn-Airport. - 7:05 p.m.

Obtain public comment concerning the issuance of Industrial Development Revenue Bonds in an amount not to exceed $8,800,000 for the acquisition and renovation of an existing hotel of approximately 190 rooms located at 1659 West North Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah by Landmark Hotel, Corp., a Kansas Corporation, or an entity affiliated therewith; and consider adopting a resolution authorizing and inducing the execution of a Memorandum of Agreement with Landmark Hotel Corporation, a Kansas Corporation or an entity affiliated therewith regarding the issuance of Industrial Development Revenue Bonds not to exceed $8,800,000 for the project.
