Consider approving the appointment of Heather Montgomery to the Community Development Advisory Committee for a term extending through July 1, 1998.

Consider approving the appointment of Elaine A. Rizzo-Pea to the Community Development Advisory Committee for a term extending through July 3, 2000.

Consider approving the appointment of Philip Carroll to the Transportation Advisory Board for a term extending through March 27, 2000.

3.  Resolution:  Interlocal Cooperation Agreement   (Management Services)
Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the approval of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and Salt Lake County regarding election services for the purpose of the County providing the City automated election processing services during the 1997 primary and general elections.

4.  Ordinance:  (Franchise Agreement with MCImetro Access Transmission Services, Inc.)
Consider adopting an ordinance granting to MCImetro Access Transmission Services, Inc., and its successors, a telecommunication franchise.

5.  Ordinance:  Set Date  (Budget Amendment #2)
Set date of September 9, 1997 at 6:00 p.m. to accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance to amend the fiscal year 1997-98 Budget.

                                                     for briefing, if requested by Council.

6.  Ordinances:  Set Date - Petition No. 400-96-93   (Plat Amendment Vacating a Portion of Union Heights Subdivision, Closing a Portion of Elizabeth Street, and Rezoning the Property in the Sugar House Business District)
Set date of September 9, 1997 at 6:00 p.m. to accept public comment and consider adopting ordinances vacating a portion of the Union Heights Subdivision, closing a portion of Elizabeth Street, and rezoning property located between 2100 South and Wilmington Avenue and between Highland Drive and 1300 East from Open Space to Sugar House Business District and from Sugar House Business District to Open Space.

E. NEW BUSINESS:

1.   Ordinance:  Petition No. 400-96-95  (View City Subdivision)
      Consider adopting an ordinance approving the vacation of a portion of View City      Subdivision.

2.  Resolution:  Special Improvement District No. 106007
Consider adopting a resolution declaring the intention of the City Council of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, State of Utah, to construct improvements on certain streets in said City including the installation, operation and maintenance of street lighting; and other miscellaneous work which is necessary to complete the above improvements; to create Salt Lake City, Utah Special Improvement District No. 106007; to defray the cost and expenses of a portion of the operation and maintenance of the improvements of said improvement district by special assessments to be levied against the property benefited by such improvements; to provide Notice of Intention to authorize such improvements and to fix a time and place for protests against such assessments; the creation of said district; and to authorize advertisement of construction bids and related matters.

1.    Ordinances  (Budget Amendment #1 and Landfill Budget Amendment)

Accept public comment and consider adopting ordinances to amend the fiscal year 1997-98 budget, to include any and all City funds as well as City staffing document,  including the 1997 Landfill budget.

2.  Ordinance:   Petition No. 400-96-46  (Flag Lot Requirements/Salt Lake City Planning Division)
Accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance amending Chapter 21A.24.010 G of the Salt Lake City Zoning Code relating to flag lots in residential districts, requiring that flag lots be approved as conditional uses rather than as permitted uses in residential districts.

3.  Ordinance:  (Design Guidelines for Residential Historic Districts)
Accept public comment and consider an ordinance adopting design guidelines for residential historic districts in Salt Lake City.

4.  Ordinance:  Petition No. 400-95-96   (Zoning Ordinance Text Change, Chapter 21A.54, Conditional Uses, Sec. 150, Planned Developments)
Accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance amending Chapter 21A.54.150 of the Salt Lake City Code providing for disclosure of infrastructure costs for Planned Developments.

Accept public comment and consider all protests filed and hear all objections relating to the proposed  Utah Central Business Improvement District No. DA-8690-97.
