2.   The Council will interview Kathy Loveless prior to consideration of her appointment to the Public Utilities Advisory Committee.

 

B.             OPENING CEREMONIES:

3.     Approval of the Minutes.

4.     The Mayor will present the City's Budget for Fiscal Year 1991-1992.

5.     The Library Director, Dennis Day, will present the Library budget for Fiscal Year 1991-1992.

D.           CONSENT:

 

1.    Resolution: Budget Hearing/Adopting Tentative Budgets

Consider adjuring a resolution adopting tentative budgets including the tentative budget for the Library Fund, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1991 and ending June 30, 1992 (this resolution also sets the date of the Budget Hearing for May 14, 1991 at 6:20 p.m.

                          Staff recommendation: Adopt resolution setting date.

 

          2.    Board Appointment: Jim Matheson

Consider approving the appointment of Jim Matheson to the Public Utilities Advisory Committee, to fill the vacancy for a term extending through December, 1994.

          3.    Board Appointment: Kathy Loveless

Consider approving the appointment of Kathy Loveless to the Public Utilities Advisory Committee, to fill a vacancy for an unexpired term extending through December, 1991.

E.          NEW BUSINESS:
       1.   Legislative Action: Councilmember Ron Whitehead/Graffiti

Consider adopting an ordinance establishing a process by which the City routinely notifies property owners of graffiti problems; and further establishing a program under which the city can actually remove the graffiti and charge the property owner if the property owner does not act to have the graffiti removed within a reasonable time period.

                          Staff recommendation:        Refer to city Attorney for drafting and to Administration for review.

 

F.          UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

 

1.    Resolution: Interlocal Agreement

Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the execution of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation, the State of Utah, the Utah Sports Authority, and the Salt Lake City Bid Committee for the Olympic Winter Games.
