1.  Flag Ceremony/Pledge of Allegiance:  Girl Scout Troop 1285; Melody Gray and Amy DeSpain, Scout Leaders

 

2.  Welcome and Introductions:  Council Member Deeda Seed

3.  Open Space Preservation:

a.       Gilgal Garden (Lisa C. Thompson, Utah Heritage Foundation Program Director)

b. Bonneville Shoreline Trail and conservation easements will be discussed(Bill Wright, Planning Director, and Doug Wheelwright, Planning Program Director) 
c. Questions and Comments from the Audience regarding Open Space Preservation.

4.  Healthy Communities: 
a.         Partnership between University of Utah Medical Center and the City County Health Department in conjunction with Salt Lake City to develop a project in the Central City community.  (Patty Pavey, Health Department Director of Community Services)

5.  Nuisance Abatement Process: 
a.  An overview of the process and the roles played by various entities.  This will include an explanation of Community Action Teams and their role in the process.      (Cheryl Luke, City Prosecutor)

6.  Housing: 
a.  An overview of the City’s efforts relating to affordable housing and a status report on the Housing Policy Plan.  (Kathy Ricci, Director of Housing and Neighborhood Development, and LuAnn Clark, Deputy Director of Housing and Neighborhood Development)
b.  Questions and Comments from the Audience regarding Housing.

7.  Transportation:
a.  East/West Light Rail (Tim Harpst, Transportation Director)

8.  2002 Winter Olympics:
a.  Information pertaining to logistics and the responsibilities of Salt Lake City government.  (Renee Tanner, Director of Olympic Opportunities Planning)
